There’s an empty page on the site

If an empty page is displayed instead of the website, you need to check contents of the website index page (index.html, index.htm or index.php) first. Maybe, there is simply no text nor other content to be displayed. If the index page is empty and the website has opened correctly before, we recommend you to restore the website using a backup: How to restore the website or download a backup.

If your website is based on some CMS or built with use of scripts (e.g. PHP), it’s also possible that an error occurred while running the script. You need to turn on error indication in order to identify what caused the problem.

To turn on error indication: insert the following lines to the .htaccess file, which is located at the website directory:

php_value display_errors 1
php_value display_startup_errors 1

another way is to add strings to php.ini as follows:

display_errors = On
error_reporting = E_ALL
